Hi everyone, long time no see.
I received photographs from the factory in 1964 from Mr. Harayama who was the first guitar production director, matsumoku. There was a corner of the room to maintain the machine.
There are also other memorial photos of the new factory built in 1960.

Hi Tad, very good to hear from you again.

Thank you for the information! Japanese guitar making history is still a puzzle for most of us in the West. Your posts have really helped to introduce us to the extraordinary people who produced the instruments we love so much.

Hello.
I began researching the history of MATSUMOKU.
I have requested cooperation from three influential people, but I have not received a reply yet.
The history of MATSUMOKU's first manufacture of the guitar is described below.
They first subcontracted the FUJIGEN guitar.
http://www.geocities.jp/guitarofworld/M ... tars5.html
http://www.geocities.jp/guitarofworld/H ... uitar.html
It is stated that MATSUMOKU manufactured more than 30 brands in Japanese music trade magazine in 1986.
Conrad、Univox、Ventura、Lyle、Shaftesbury、
Epiphone、Greco、Electra、Vantage、Vox、Hondo2、ELK、Aria、Aria Diamond、Arai Diamond、AriaPro2、Fernandes etc

I would like to add a brand I knew in the forum here.
Skylark、Alvarez ?
Please do not hesitate to tell us any brands that are not listed above.
I will add it here if I can investigate.
Most of those guitars are not in Japan. I am glad if you can give us permission to use the photos.

This picture was taken in 1986.
