Hey, can anyone help me work out the age / history of my Aria les Paul gold top. Bought it in 1988, was pretty old then. Full LP weight, hot humbuckers, really good build quality. Plays well, aging well. Recently removed the neck, can only see 2 Japanese symbols. A Japanese friend reads the symbols as being either uematsu or agematsu. Any info would be great

Just speculating here but, Agematsu is a town in the Nagano area of Japan which was (and still is) home to many instrument making companies, (including Matsumoku which was located in Matsumto City) So it might be a reference to the point of origin.

Or it's the name of the worker who made it??
