I'd like to get a new guitar rack stand (5 git unit), BUT... the add specifically states "NOT recommended for guitars with a nitro finish". I know that some rubber types will react very unfavorably with various finishes, hence my question.

I'm pretty sure most if not all are poly.
The only ones I can think of that might be nitro would be the PE's that look like violin finish.
And they may be poly as well.

AFAIK, Catalyzed Polyester was the standard finish on the majority of Mats guitars, with the exception perhaps of some acoustics.

Thanks guys! I'll prolly pick up one of the racks this weekend. It's a real pain to dig a guitar out of the case all the time when I want to do a quick swap - especially when the cases are in a not so accessible area of my small apartment...
