Hey, can anybody identify this pickup? I'm reasonably certain it's Japanese.

The pickups in some older Ibanez guitars had three mounting screws and I read they were made by Maxon. Anyway, the Ibanez pickups I've seen had some engraving on the bottom plate (not only a stamped number).

But maybe Maxon might be a good starting place for your research.

Maxon did occur to me. The number on it does not seem to match anything I've been able to dig up on Maxon however. I should mention that the magnet is ceramic and double the height of a normal humbucking magnet. The DCR is around 8K.
