After a long period of research (still going on) i decided to build a separate info-website, containing the specs of all the Washburn Wings ever produced in Japan. It's on www.g3h.be/wings and every Wing owner here is welcome to contribute by sending in pics of your guitars to winginfo@yahoo.com.

The site has been tested on FireFox, IE5 and Safari, if it doesn't run on another browser please let me know. Feel free to take a look, comments, questions and contribs are always welcome. The layout is fairly simple to make it easy for me to keep it up-to-date without too much time effort.

I've been putting up a link to the Guitar Gallery's main page and i hope someone will put a link back somewhere, perhaps in the Washburn section.

The information on the Wings so far was very minimal on the internet and that's why i decided to give my favourite guitars a new home. Hope you like it!

Greetings and thanks to all of you who keep The Guitar Gallery alive and kicking!

H.

Sad, pathetic and tragic... but how true!!

Well done, G3H - I like these Wings, probably because I've got Buckley's chance of ever even seeing one!! That Eagle lights my candle in major ways I'm uncomfortable with!! :D

Nice clean site!

I'll put a post on other guitar forums I trouble with my presence requesting pics.

Sorry about that. I tried to send 4 photos, but something went wrong. I just sent them one at a time now. They are of a 1979 Washburn Falcon. Rosewood top, Ash back, Yamaki circuit board. Should be 100% original. I no longer own it as I personally could not warm up to the shape of the neck, but oh my gosh, what a gorgeous instrument.

Received the pics and added the Willbo-Falcon to the site.. pretty guitar indeed! I think that's why i got into the Wings in the first place..

Thanks!

Hey man, thanks for the site.
In a weird stroke of coincidence I was considering a Washburn purchase only yesterday. I didn't know much about them and spent a lot of time looking for information. Turned out to be a non-Mats, WR-150, nothing like the beauties on your site.

I saw some info on the Guitar Gallery site about Wing series too...
...(sigh) yet another guitar series to add to my list.
I'm so broke. And if this continues, wife-less.
