I managed to get myself a Yamaha SF400 a while ago, and while searching for information I found this comment on a sellers website. Seems a bit far fetched :dunno: , but I thought I'd see if anyone here had any ideas on the subject.

Extract below
(The body shape is identical. I know because my brother has owned an SF-500 since new.
I have also received an email from a helpful contributor (XXXX XXXX) who owns a Yamaha SC-400. It would appear that my guitar is part of the same family. These guitars were made at the Matsomuko Plant in Japan. This would explain the similarity of the case to one I had for a Matsomuko Westbury & the finish which is identical to a Westone Rainbow I owned)

Any help will be useful :look:

Thanks all

I can't say I have ever heard of Uncle Matt being involved with Yamaha and I was under the impression that they had there own factory (Nippon Gaki?) for there MIJ models. Cases are ususaly made by separate companys and so simmaler cases would show up for any of a number of unrelated guitars.
