Anybody who plays a Masonite guitar with a monkey-metal bridge shouldn't be knocking Ibanez.

But seriously, folks:

It isn't a contest, is it? Does being a MAT enthusiast preclude us from liking anything else?

If they work for your purpose, they're all good...

...except post-George-&-Leo G&Ls.

I HATE G&L GUITARS--& I'll keep saying it until they either step up & honor their warranty on the guitar I ended up having to adapt a neck for (so I could at least play it & not have to swallow the loss)--or they go out of business. :sneaky:

We're just funnin', man - at some point, you've gotta remember that a guitar is just a piece of wood with some metal wires attached to it by other metal fittings; it's just that we like the Matsumoku brands for reasons that are, as time goes on, becoming more strident!! :D

I had an Ibanez guitar in the late 70's - a 2278, I think - but it was hellishly heavy on the shoulder over the length of a gig so I got shot of it for a Telecaster that promptly got "improved".... :-?

I have an Indonesian made electro/acoustic that is absolutely brilliant amplified but absolutely rubbish unplugged; I used to have an Ovation but hated it and couldn't get rid of it fast enough, AND I had traded a beautiful old Maton in for the Obortion.... net loss, but you do stuff like that when you're young and clueless.... don't you?!

So, we're not really snobs, but it is really good fun to have a dig at other, more well recognized names from inside our very own security blanket... :D

On the fanshirts of my favourite football club you can read:
"Klasse statt Masse"
This is demarcating "us" from the town's bigger and more popular club (where thousands of lemmings try to
increase their self-confidence by being part of the majority)

"class instead of mass" :D
