True.

Low end in turn takes a LOT of power....LOTS...and especialy so outdoors. Like the sayin goes; rock n roll shouldn´t only be heard...it should be felt too.

There´s also LOTS more to it than meets the eye. Everything from gates to effects and what have you not, down to power comin from the chords.. and how to divide the loads imposed.

Yup.
We´ll take lots of pics, and hopefuly some vid to boot. There will be all in all 5 bands onstage that night.

Yep.
We´ve agreed to keep that part simple this time out. No packs,no nuthin. Just basic lighting and done with it already.
In short we´re gonna put the effort into the sound.

Lighting??? Luxury! We tended to bath in the light of a thousand lighters waved majestically in the air by our adoring fan. :eyeball:

Carvin Pro Bass 500--Bass Amp and stack - $400 (Charlottesvile VA)

Date: 2011-05-02, 9:05AM EDT

Here's info on the amp: http://www.carvinmuseum.com/decade/images/90-pb500.html

Two cabs, one w/ 15in speaker other with 2 10in speakers. Also has cables for the speakers, owner's manual, slip-covers for all components.

It all works fine, come give it a play... but bring your own bass.

:look:

Thought of something else. I've played on numerous "new" Ampeg and "new" Acoustic rigs and have found them to be....hmm, lacking? The vintage Ampeg and Acoustics still rule, but I'm not terribly impressed with the new Chinese efforts. What a shame.

Cheers,
G

I agree with you Gribb on the new stuff.. I really love my vintage Acoustic head.

This looks like a deal...at this price I would not mind trying the rig out.
