The Guitar Gallery Forums - The Guitar Legacy of Matsumoku

Hi, I own this Aria Pro II PE-1500 since 1992 and I've been looking up information on it since recently. I have seen on different websites different pickup references for this guitar: Protomatic VII, Protomatic II and Protomatic IV. I was wondering which one of these are the right ones. My guitar's serial number is 078063 (So it should be from 1978, right?).

Hello saatana. Matsumoku's pickup references can be maddening at times, often referring to the same pickup by several different names depending on the label.
