Hi everyone,

I'm new around these parts - love my vintage MIJ's but a complete newbie when it comes to Aria Pro II. Anyway, I've kinda got the hots for this beauty http://www.shop.cassidymusic.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=77&category_id=21&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=79&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=79&vmcchk=1&Itemid=79 but, try as I might, I just can't work out what model this is! There doesn't even seem to be a serial on the headstock so I was wondering if you guys could help me out before I pull the trigger on this. I plan to call the store tomorrow for more info but forewarned is forearmed as they say!

Thanks in advance,

Frank

Edit: More pics here http://www.auctiva.com/hostedimages/showimage.aspx?gid=1552093&image=692967790&images=692967698,692967666,692967731,692967755,692967770,692967790,692967643,692967615&formats=0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0&format=0 - seems to have FEB - am I wildly off thinking LS 800?? Why no apparent serial though??

Welcome Frank.
I can see why you have the hots for this one. It looks fantastic!
I'm not sure whats up with the serial but it looks like it could be an LS-700 to me. http://www.matsumoku.org/models/ariapro ... ls/ls.html

Thanks Jorg,

Spoke to the vendor today & things may not be as they first seem - I've been given a weight of just over 7lbs which, unless his scales are out, means chambered... Seems the neck is three piece and that's as much as he knows as of now. He said he's going to get the pups out & check the hardware over the next day or so for clues & identifying marks but my hopes aren't quite so high right now...

Update: Spoken to him again - no more pics til tomorrow but he tells me the tailpiece is stamped Made in Japan, 60 inscribed in pup cavity (pups believed non original but not marked/stamped), bolted tenon neck (3 piece) & circuit board electrics. He's unsure about the body but sounds like pancake to me. Could still be an LS 700 by the looks of things?? The weight must be wrong though, lightest I've found in my own searchings seems to be a tad over 4KG - he maybe read the scales wrong??

Thanks guys!

One more - what am I looking at here, some sort of chambering? Looks like a one piece veneer on maple?

Think I'm gonna have her set aside 'til payday tomorrow. Seen a killer '89 Greco LP custom too... Don't think I'll be going out much next month! :)

Hey guys!

Well, you're not gonna like this but.... She was just not my cup of tea - just couldn't bring myself to love her & so she went back to the original vendor & has been replaced by a 1984 Fernandes branded Burny RLG-70.

She's up on evilbay UK if anyone fancies a punt - for the frankly insane BIN price of £625 - $1,000!!!

Sorry chaps...
