Hi there! I thought I have seen the most models by now, but never heard of the SB-400. I would Think the toggle switch is for to put the humbucer in parallell/series. Thank you for sharing your bass!

No no, look at the shape of the bass. It is definitely an SB. There are Always models that never became a hit and therefore was made in very limited numbers. I could only guess, but maybee is is one of the SB-600 that became a 400 when AP upgraded the 600 from bolt on to glued neck. It is just my guess.... as I guess your bass is bolt on.
:)

EDIT: Just did a google search... http://www.gfyfe.com/sb400.htm
But this is all I have ever seen.

Very pretty!

Looks like it might be a 32" scale length, too...not sure.

Receive this morning. One word: Fantastic :)
My first aria pro II bass

Not new, little used with some bing and poc but in great condition for playing.
Sound look like precision bass but not exactly the same (not so rude perhaps).
Neck plate age: 82
Bridge age: 80
