I didn't realize there was a coil cut in there also.

Just shows how much Uncle Matt's thinking rubbed off on me. Well, H. Noble's anyway. :D

22μf is standard. If you want more of a creamy sound with the tone rolled back replace it with a 0.01μf polyester cap. If the guitar were brighter you could put a 500 ohm pot and wire the 0.01 on the opposite lug as the 22 and have your cake and eat it too.

Hmmmmm... a worthy mod! However, it's not a bright sounding guitar as such, even with a brass nut, it's still quite middy...

... that said, I may do just as you suggest!!
