I just pulled the trigger on a PE-175 Herb Ellis. I bought it on Guitar Center's Used Gear section. Incidentally, for Uncle Matt fans in the U.S., I've noticed that you can find some really fair deals on MIJ guitars on that site. The only drawback is the fact that their pictures are not very good so it's difficult to evaluate the condition of the guitar. Buying one is pretty low-risk though as they have a very liberal return policy. Given the price I got it at, I'm pretty sure I could flip it and make a small profit.

It does have the skirt broken on one of the knobs. Does anyone have a source for new knobs that don't depart too much from the originals? I will post pics when it gets here next week.

Here she is with her sisters. I really do need to get a better camera but this will have to do for now. The guitar, was in great shape and I am thrilled with the deal I got.

Hi Jimnasium. You won't be disappointed with the PE-175 Herb Ellis. I picked one up last year and it is unbelievably good. Good to look at, good to play and FANTASTIC to listen to. Good choice. Like the sisters too.
