Hi Team,

I recently acquired this gorgeous, but well worn, bass. As far as I can tell it is a 83-84 but obviously it has no serial number to confirm.

Is anyone able to shed some light?

Also, if anyone has any parts kicking around I need to replace a couple of pieces on the bridge as someone has swapped them out previously

Welcome!
She looks pretty sweet to me.
Hmm, no serial at all? Is the neck plate original?

Thanks! That photo does it a lot of justice, it has many bumps and bruises and the frets are well worn.

Just before this photo I had given it a good clean, oil and a new set of strings which helps

Looks like the original neck plate, which only says "Made in Japan" on it.

All other examples I can find of it online seem to be the same. Looks like that was pretty standard for early 80's Aria Pro ii's

You're probably right. I'm not as familiar with basses as to when they were made and such. I was looking for one like yours in the catalogs but have yet to find it. It's in there somewhere but I think you're in the right time frame. We'll find it...

Ha I hope so!

I scoured the catalogues I could find anywhere online and no joy, it was purely from looking at similar ones in the catalogs / people selling the same one that I figured the approximate year.

Thanks for the effort!
