Hello everyone! Is there a resident Aria Pro II Amp expert here? I'm looking for a schematic for the Matsumoku made A-50 amp made in late 70s, early 80s. Than k you for your help!

We had a member here who was an expert at amplifier builds and restoration but he hasn't been online for a very long time.

I was thinking of our Racing (Jesper), Masumoku collector and guitar player, builder and restorer of cars, guitars and amplifiers.
He has a huge thread here somewhere detailing all the amps he's built. Great read.
He was a regular contributor for years then just disappeared.

I figure its a long shot. The other ones I've seen are listed overseas.....if shipping wasn't so costly, getting a working sample would help. It's a shame because, it is in great condition, borderline mint really. My tech says a board mod jumper is missing. A circuit trace that has been cut but, no wire has been routed to it. Schematics would really help him....this dude is sharp too.

I looked these up. I have never seen or heard of these. The only AP2 amps I've ever seen were the ones with "Birdie" name on them.
The A-50 looks to be a tube amp, no?

Solid State, not tube. He showed me the circuit board today, looks like the mod jumpers were done in factory.....probably to address defects? I'll keep digging around, my tech isn't ready to give up on it.

If there was a factory "mod" it would have been done to enhance the basic circuitry I would think, not necessarily to fix a defect. But I wonder why it's now missing?
It would take somebody with some degree of expertise to recognize that and 'un-mod' it.

BTW you didn't say if the amp actually works or not, or are you trying to restore to original condition? If it does work, what's it sound like now?

light comes on but, no sound. speaker works....read ohms. i'd like to get it working and my tech doesn't want to give up on it. I thought maybe gutting it and using the guts from a nice solid state amp w the stock speaker may be cool.....who knows
