Set neck, two strange pickups, owner could have changed a bunch of stuff as tuners upgraded. Looks like a thin maple veneer engineered style top with mahogany body (which looks like a pancake) 5 layer binding!

Gibson style open book headstock. No serial number.... anywhere. Circuit board for pickup wiring.

Any guess as to the make and model? Year?

Hey Barry,
I'm able to access all of the photos. You might be having issues with one or more of the new filters from the browser updates (I had and still am having issues with Firefox).

Pete

Very nice, I dig it! :rockwoot:
We don't have a lot of pics of the LC series guitars on the specs page but, we got specs.
The color looks to me to be the violin SB. But, not knowing what the vintage SB looks like, it could be that?
I can't tell about the top. Is that a ply top or cap? Is the hardware gold, is it original?
To my knowledge, I've never seen those pickups before and it looks like they've been spliced in so...
I don't see one that fits within those specs completely. :dunno:

EDIT
After looking at it more, I'll bet that's the vintage SB and this is one of the higher models.

I was unable to connect with either Firefox or Chrome but I finally managed to connect using Opera!
Don't know what's going on exactly but there's sumthin' weird in tha' neigbourhood.

Yes, very nice piece of lumber there! I'm always amazed at the attention to finish detail that Mats employed.

Are those replacement pups or the originals? The black tape on the wiring suggests they're transplants but they look sort of period correct.

Hey guys! Thanks for the info... before buying it, I saw the Aria Pro II catalog, and yes, I noticed all LCs with Gold Hardware have a maple cap.

This one has a strange "cap". It does look laminate under the front pickup, but then it looks like they rigged in some wood to fill the open space caused by the semi-hollow design that many of these have. Confusingly, under the bridge pickup, it looks like a maple cap.

I believe the pickups are aftermarket, and I found an Ibanez link that was selling the same "open cover" style but who knows man? I am gonna dissect her a little more once I get home and fiddle around.

The tone is loud and proud and clear, like most arias of this era.

I couldn't resist this guitar because she looks almost new, the Open Book Lawsuit headstock, and the violin finish, been GASSING for one of these for years.
