This guitar belonged to an old guitarist who passed away. I'm pretty sure it's from before the 2000s.

Poor thing was kept in the garage collecting dust until my father found out that the man had left it to him.
Clearly has been played to death, although I'm sure that doesn't really help with figuring out the age.

Welcome.
I have one of these. Not a bad guitar but a far cry from a Matsumoku product. I think mine is from early to mid 90's.
I bought it off ebay for less than $70 shipped.
Mine is currently getting a neck make-over. I cut the head to look like a Telecaster, removed the frets to resurface the fretboard and putting a satin finish on it.
I'm considering putting some noiseless pickups in it.
