I agree with you. Maybe it was left for the dealer to serialize those guitars in America.
And as far as I know, these guitars came with Protomatic 1 pickups which would be high output. And when I play this guitar, it's very powerful when you crank the volume all the way up, but still smooth if you keep it at around 8. I enjoy more the MMK75's on my R-80's though. I play more Jazz and funk than rock music.
Thanks for your opinion. Makes sense, and helped a lot.

Have you popped out the pickups in one to see if there was any nomenclature on the back of the pickups? Most bridge pickups in the Aria Pro IIs came in at around 10K or or so for the bridge and less for the neck. These are the bridge DC resistances of the pickups I've measured. Neck is usually 1 to 2 K lower.

MMK 45 Protomatic V (CS-3XX) 11.79K
Protomatic IIs (PE-450) 8.7K
MMK 75 Classic Power (PE-R80) 8.09K

I should have realized "high output" would be relative. My apologies. Most of my bridge pickups are in the 15K to 16.5K range and not well suited to Jazz, more geared towards high gain applications.
