Hello,

I have been searching the forums for my guitar but could not find anything (maybe I just overlooked something... sorry if so)

I have recently picked up an attic found for only 50 Bucks (Euros) because I knew Japanese Arias are something special.

Actually the Serial has been removed and I could not find any Info on this guitar. Can you tell me more?

It Sounds and plays very nice and is in used, but not bad condition. Is this anything of worth? I would not be disappointed because this thing really sounds great somehow... not worse than my US Strats.

Welcome!
Very nice, it looks to be in good shape. I'm not 100% but I believe that is post Matsumoku.
I know there was a Matsumoku FS series but they were semi-hollows.
Someone here will know more than me about this, give it a day or two.

This particular model was introduced in 1987... Matsumoku closed in 1987.

So very likely this is not made by Matsumoku anymore... or only the initial run was made by Matsumoku before production moved to Korea.

Does that mean it could be one of the last models Produced in Japan?

How much could I ask for it if I wanted to sell it?

Kind Regards

Does that mean it is nothing of worth or are you curious that I want to know the value?

I just want to know what I am having here :)

I'd say your guitar was made in Korea... I can't be 100 % sure, but Korea is more likely.

Anyway, those type of guitars are not very expensive if you look at your favorite auction and trading sites. If you like the way it plays that's great... if you are planning on selling, don't get your hopes high.

Not so sure about "made in Korea". Apparently some models continued to be produced in Japan - example, my Magna MA-30 is of Japanese production (Cushin Gaki?) whereas another Magna series that I've seen (don't remember the model but I think it was a MA-20) was made by Samik (Korea).

AFAIK the FS Fullerton series are post Matsumoku. The Japanese were not known to be wasteful. Like the Westones and Electras all leftover production parts such as necks, bodies and hardware were used in Korea until depleted. I know for a fact (from Tom Presley) that this is true for the Electras and Westones so I suspect it is the same for Aria Pro II.

Production for some mid range and most upper range models were still made in Japan. The FS Fullerton series were entry level stratalikes, most with inexpensive covered gear tuners, generic pickups and 6-screw trems.
