Hey everyone, first time poster here. I'm looking at an Aria Pro II that I'm pretty sure is a LC750 TD from 1978 or 1979. I can't see a serial number anywhere so I assume it's hidden under a pickup or the neck (it has a bolt on neck). The poor guitar is beat to hell (at least in my opinion). Seller is asking $500 CDN. I don't really know much about Aria guitars except that some of them are of exceptional quality. Is the LC 750 one of the the good ones and in rough condition, what do people think it would be worth. Any info is greatly appreciated.

A link to the listing would be helpful.

What does the headstock look like? If it is a transition model (gull wing headstock) it is probably a decent guitar. I can't tell from the tiny pic it's condition. $500 CD isn't too far off base depending on condition and the actual model.

$370 US is a fairly reasonable price. This is a transition model when Matsumoku moved away from more traditional designs. I would ask if the truss rod is functional and ask about any structural damage. Dings and dents are to be expected with a guitar this old but you can't hear them when you're playing it anyway. Assuming it is structurally sound I would snatch it up in a heartbeat.

Okay, good to know. The seller isn't a guitar player so he wouldn't know if the truss rod is okay. I played it a bit (with 5 strings) and everything seems okay. Maybe I'll make him an offer. Might be a fun project.

My jealousy meter is in the red. I'd love to have a transition model. Even in rough shape.

Great looking guitar! Hope you were able to snag it, techrtr!

Not trying to hijack and this probably (definitely?) Is not the place to post this but i think you'd be interested, crusty.

Looks like an all original, with ohsc no less, transition ls 450 at a decent price. Apologies if you have to move this.
