Crisis averted. (yay)
I found some more paint at a branch store and bought two more cans just to be on the safe side! Whew! (But I think it's been discontinued).

Now, on to some good news...
My local guitar tech was looking at the neck the other week and saw the struggle I was having getting rid of the swirls and scratches on the headstock. No bloody wonder considering what it went through!

He recommended that I try Meguiars brand compound. Swore by it!
However, he wasn't specific about the exact product, so I went to the local automotive aisle and had a look see. I ended up getting this, called Ultimate Compound: http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/detail/MEG+G17216

Guess what? He was right! Worked like a charm! I used a hand held disk applicator that had foam one side and cloth on the other. Magic! Put a nice shine back on the headstock.

Highly recommended!

Sorry, mate - once again I thought that auto rubbing compound in its decreasing grit numbers was another wrinkle that everyone knew... wrong again, John!! You can get very fine jewelers rouge as well for those gold plated components, and I've also used valve grinding paste on metal components, both guitar related and non-guitar related, with some success...

I have been using at least 4 different rubbing and polishing compounds, 2 of which are also from the automotive aisle. The other 2 are supposed to be formulated for guitar finishes (fine almond paste methinks).
All were all helpful, but none really got that "mirror" shine back, ya know? But this stuff does! And without a lot of effort either.

I also recommend applying this with a foam rubber pad.
I picked up a package of 3 hand applicator disks at the same time for about $5.00; foam rubber one side, terry cloth on the other. I think the rubber makes a huge difference; seems to maximize the effect and speeds things up.

What is the heel thickness of the 60T neck, the maple wood under the RW?

I guess it would be 33mm circa (pocket is ~30mm deep), anyone could confirm?

What is the Heel-lip thickness? 12mm, 0.5" ?

What (original) capacitors are used on this?

Head-body angle on this, or any Urchins?

Would be appreciated.

Also, distance of FB-end to foremost side of neck Pickup pocket?
Or center of 22ft to foremost side of neck Pickup pocket?

Are there any neckplate screws that would be equal replacements of originals (head size, etc)?

I still have everything in pieces so I've attempted to answer your questions using the limited tools available (primarily a steel scale).

I make it to be 32mm at the deepest point, just behind the radius of the neck-to-heel (not including the fretboard which is 4mm at the sides and 6mm at centre). The tongue is ~115mm long overall from that point measured on the backside from the centre of the radius. The 'step' is 42mm long x 12mm thick. And it is 20mm deep to the floor of the step.

Yes, as stated above.

These are rectangular and a light brown/dark beige in colour. One side is marked as .047/250 the other, ITT-GB PMT/2R UK

Extremely hard for me to make an accurate measurement since the nut is in place and the machine heads too, but using a very small protractor with limited gradations, eyeballing it I make it to be between 10-12 degrees. Sorry that's as close as I can get.

10mm

There are two lengths used, 2 for the neck side and 2 for the body side: 30 mm and 35mm. Not sure of the diameter.

"deepest point"?, I thought the thickness was uniform.

Quote:
12mm thick. And it is 20mm deep to the floor of the step.

But that reveals that the heel wood under the FB should be 12+20= 32mm uniformly [measured from the side of the neck] (parallel, not sloping).

10-12 degrees.

That's neck-headstock angle.
Head-body angle is angle between the body in relation to the fretboard surface, A Les Paul has 1-2 dgr, Fender 0.

Or center of 22ft to foremost side of neck-pocket?

10mm

Lip - last fret to end of FB - on most Arias are 10mm, and there is a gap between the FB-end and the surface of the foremost side of the neck pickup pocket, see pic. I would have guessed 14-15mm. Distance 22ft to back of neck pickup pocket also of interest (+40mm?).

Not sure of the diameter.

Neckplate screws are 10.5mm Diam.

IS the U-60T scale 650mm?
If you check measurements of nut-12ft (325mm), or nut-22ft (467.6), one could be sure.
