Hi Jack and Welcome.
Yep, he is spot on LC440...I have one and love it
Is yours all stock?
If so, could you please confirm the volume/tone knob arrangement....are there 3 volumes and 1 master tone?
With a coil tap switch for the neck pup?
Hi Cat thanks for the welcome ,was up till the wee hours 0400 trawling thru posts ,and i was lucky enough to find your fantastic Road trip post "BINGO!" (and a great read may I say by all ) with your 1500 and 440 purchases
Real lovely to see someone at work restoring my same guitar to a playable state. some great images to boot
.
Now to your question
pups all stock
Rest is, apart from a replacement jack plate as black plastic original shattered, and the nut which broke on one side and got professionally repaired after my son overtuned it recently (he blamed me for for bad advice)
yep 3 volume one master tone(bottom Knob)
Now this is where Im on thinner Ice with your confirmation , the coil tap? (bottom) switch effects all Pups not just the top Pup ,never liked it as the sound just became thinner ,it effects the sound on any volume/rhythm tremolo switch setting
so with Bridge pup activated only, the jangly tone just drops volume rather than changes tone, not a nice experience not sure why that would ever be an option
with Neck activated only ,volume drop and sound moves to a more Jangly tone
And with middle pickup only same applies and actually thats probably in my ears the best effect
darn thing starts to sound like a Strat at some tone settings with this switch activated and Ronno NEVER played with a Fender with the Spiders so left it well alone
hope this helps bro
