Hello People,
Ever hear of an Aria III ? your not alone, I have been looking for info on my guitar and could find none anywhere. I bought it new in 1977/78 from American Music in Seattle. I also have a 12-string sister guitar I bought same time and place. Right now I am living retired in Philippines. The 12-string is back in USA.
On the label:
Aria lll
Model A-1C
SN: 707006
Professional Model handcrafted instrument
Soild Spruce Top
Made in Japan

I think SN indicates 1977. or 1970 but makes more sense it’s 1977. I recall the sales people back when I bought them. I told them I wanted something special. They went to the back and pulled these 2 guitars. They told me that no one wanted Japanese Guitars for a high price back then and they were thinking to discount them just to clean inventory. I think I paid about 900 for the both of them…but I can’t remember for sure… Any rate, perhaps this is a find of some sort.. I have sent inquiry to the factory with no response yet.

my curiosity got the better of me, so I did some snooping around on the internet and found some photos. This is a very fancy and beautiful guitar.
