Mine has a one piece neck, the tuners are Gotoh, the body is Ash, its got five pieces on the back, four on the front , a bit like a cap, 7.25 radius, fretwork is amazing, very heavy at nearly 10 pounds, pots are 500k for the tone and 1M for the volume, 3 way switch, trem block is a big heavy lump, one piece, lovely to play, sounds very clear and detailed, not muddy at all, build quality is impeccable, even the routing looks to be fine sanded!

This is mine.

You are welcome, on the net I found numerous links to an old Aria usa site that had lots of catalogues, the site is no more and the links now take you to a German site, however, if you put the address into the wayback machine the catalogues are still there.

In re-reading this, I was a bit puzzled by my comment about $250 + shipping because I would easily give that much for this guitar. I clicked the link and was reminded the loaded pickguard sold for that price.
Now I understand my comment.

I am trying to figure out what the finish is on this, I have been told that it could be polyurethane, can anyone confirm this?

On the electric guitars Matsumoku used a catalyzed polyester finish on its Westone label and the Vantage line, so it's reasonable to assume it was the finish of choice for Aria as well.

It's extremely tough, and scratch and solvent resistant, and takes colour well, however, it tends to be more brittle than polyurethane which has more flexibility to it. That's why you often see "stress" cracks in the finish around the neck pocket for example as well as chipped edges.

Would there be a way to tell for sure? Any tests I can do? I have had a little bit of an issue while changing the nut!

I think what you're seeing there is what I mentioned above...typical stress cracking/lifting of the polyester finish.
This is on a curved section of wood so it it's more vulnerable to movement from shock.

Refinishing the area might be more trouble than it's worth though. You would need to remove the loose portion, sand the area and prep for a re-coat of something similar. And I do not think using the same material would be cost effective or give a good repair.

As long as the finish is still intact I would just leave it alone and live with it. If you do attempt to match the colour then seal with a clear coat spray, unless you're very skilled, you may just make it look worse.

Good luck!

I have read people have had good results with CA or super glue, I might give it a try here, its not the best area for flattening back but I could use the curve in the wood to my advantage.,
