That would be cool!

Sorry for the size limit. The site's disk space is finite. To upgrade the site's disk space would nearly double the cost of hosting.

No problem I understand storage isn't cheap,... but I think I should post them in the correct thread so they should be up shortly in the AP2 J Models Only.

The guitar arrived yesterday afternoon, brought by the seller herself. She had business in the area and saved me the shipping cost :) . The guitar itself was/is in better condition than the photos, but I had hoped that the missing string pin would have found itself in the case pocket - it wasn't... They are plastic pins anyway, so I've ordered a set of ebony pins and new strings.

Soundwise, it has a mellower tone than my Kiso-Suzuki (also with plastic pins,) - could be also due to the type of strings and age (both guitars have OLD ones mounted) and the actual construction of both is nearly identical - exception: height adjustable bridge (K-S) and truss-rod access. Neck and head design are 98% identical, which make me believe that the ARIA was actually made by Kiso-Suzuki. Both of them are '78 vintage. Action might need a bit of fiddling when the new strings are on.

The case is likely original (perfect fit) and in fair shape. Some delamination of the covering and on the top plywood that can be repaired plus a couple of tears on the back covering.

Going over the guitar in daylight, I was able to see more "wear" - mostly on the fretboard (light spots) and pick scratches (hardly noticeable and then only when the light hits at a certain angle) that can be polished out. The sellers brother was the "user" and is/was apparently a rather heavy smoker :o . The neck is rather "sticky" and the initial clean-up of the case outers turned my white cleaning cloth really brown...

I added photos of the head-stock and the side in the previous post.

Scratches don't really bother me too much. YOU know they're there but, for the most part, they don't show. Being that old, they're just character. :D
She looks beautiful.

That's a great buy Pete!
I only have the one 12 string, a Vantage VA30N-12, which I love. It's beautiful to look at and sounds great, but suffers from some high action which is a constant source of frustration for me. I installed a bridge doctor but nothing short of a neck reset will cure it methinks.

I have it tuned down a step and capo'd up to pitch to make it comfortable. How's yours? Good playability?

I had a Japanese Alvarez 12-string acoustic that had developed a "belly" over the years raising the action up enough to make it a beotch to play. Saw one of these at StewMac. I made one and installed it. Belly gone, top flat and action back down on the neck. Pretty easy to install but the mounting hole through the bridge has to be right. Back then they called it a "Belly Bucker".

Found it on Amazon. JLD Bridge Doctor.

Thanks, but as I said above that's exactly what I used. Stopped it from getting worse but the action is still high. :bawl:

I detailed the sad tale on here some time ago but alas, it seems to have been a victim of the data crash. I cannot find the post.
