Hi, I´m looking forward to restore an old guitar my father got from a friend of his. I used to play it around late 80´s Then I got another guitar of my own and left this Aria alone for a long time. About 2012 I pick it up from the graveyard and play it, I found out it has a very great sustain and tone eventhough doesnt have originals pups (I lost them). Well from this silly story, I like any support from you guys by telling me the year of make.
Its like a AE-325 Les Paul and has a 6 digit number on the backplate, beginning with 76####
On the Truss Rod cover has Custom imprinted instead of Match1

Thanks for your support.

Welcome!
Does it have gold or chrome hardware?

Could it be an A5522? http://www.matsumoku.org/cm_models/2021 ... ul-copies/

I would go by features to identify. The appearance (headstock shape, brand logo,...) changed too frequently.

Typically an upscale guitar would have a solid top and a set-neck, while the lower priced models had a thin top with some air underneath and a bolt-on neck.

That the original pickups are missing is not a loss (most likely). Japanese pickups and hardware weren't that great for most of the 70s. But since the wood on those guitars is usually quite good, some replacement parts can get you far.
