Colors could vary from run to run and was not uncommon at all. Headstock shape, rounded fingerboard at the treble end and tophat knobs put it in the early 70's before the shift away from the open book headstock.
It is difficult to find one in the condition yours is in. Nice snag!
One thing you will find on the bottom of the last page of most catalogs is "Specifications subject to change without notice" and they WEREN'T kidding. Also keep in mind the same model destined for other markets (US vs Europe vs Japan) may have also had different specs.
