Me? Well I think the room behind that white door is going to become tight soon!

What goes on behind a man's white door is that man's business alone.

From what I can tell Aria acted as a "general contractor" for a number of smaller distributors in the 70's. A "custom" instrument would be easy to provide if it was just a matter of mix and match. I think that may be what you have.

Hi RSB,

That is basically what i was thinking.... It`s kind of strange since I have seen the rebrands but always the exact same as the Aria offerings.... Also, in my files, i found this bass under the Mann brand name from the early 70`s wich everyone beleives all comes from FujiGen....

I tell ya, the early 70`s was one hell of time to figure what came from where....lol

I am pretty sure that Mann sourced from more than one factory. I think I remember a confirmed Yamaki Mann guitar.

Some sources in the www say Mann = matsumoku!

Seems like there have been multiple or changing production facilities for a lot of brands in the 70ies/80ies, depending on free capacities.
It sure is a lifetime-job to unravel the various filaments... :P
