Has anyone replaced the bridge on their VSH-445?

Image

Mine is a little worn and the intonation seems a bit goofy. There are also some sharp edges on it so I was thinking that a nice new bridge might be a good thing for it. There are so many different measurements with the post holes and so on that I thought that someone may have done it and I could save a lot of searching.

Cheers!

Gotoh metric tune o matic should fit. Stewmac.com probably has the measurements. I used one on my 790 and it fit fine.

I'm desperately seeking a new bridge for my VS695. The stock bridge is stamped "L S Bridge" on the back. Do you know if your original is marked L S, smorgdonkey?

The original saddles and screws are completely trashed, and I figured it's easier to just buy a new one than try to track down the parts.

Will the Gotoh fit my VS695, RSB?

Thanks!

Yes it should. As I said with Smokedonkey, you can check the specs but it should be a direct fit.

I got the (item # 1511) Gotoh Tune-o-matic Bridge with Studs/Bushings. I think Stew Mac keeps their part numbers static for a long time so this might be a decent reference for someone in the future.

I did have to use the screw in studs but happy that I didn't have to pull the bushings. Not that it is a big deal but when things are pressure fit, best to have them stay where they are!

Thanks for the info RSB!

Knuge...yes, it says "L.S. Bridge made in Japan".

Love it when you can find a decent replacement part so easily. *sniff* Chokes me up.
