It's all good guys. An interesting forum here indeed. Lotsa lotsa good info on all of Matty's guitar history to look at, take in, ponder ...etc...

I look forward to hearing any other FV VOODOO/FV575 insight if there's any scraps left.
A special thanks to Crusty whom put this thirst of knowledge of mine into better perspective.
Hope everyone has a happy new year eve celebration.

Cheers :loon: :loon: :loon: from the Great White North we call CANADA!!!

Ok so do the math and look back a few posts/months/sections ago....
I found a mahogany 790 Demon
Then a case a few weeks later.
Then was a red FV575 low serial number (non engraved TRC). It came with a case thankfully.
Then came a restore it project LP510 wine color. It too came with a case thankfully again!!
Then there was a bit of a week long wild goose chase that was looking depressing near the end but THANKFULLY again..... it ended on a good note that included a gorgeous cherry burst VLP550 no case-but that's ok cause it's a Matty.
Which brings me to the latest acquisition... ANOTHER FV575!!!!! (black with engraved TRC) ....and as luck would prevail, YES a case it came in.

There was another FV575 that just got listed out in Ajax Ontario (for those who are not north American continent....minutes away from Toronto Canada....) and I didn't move fast enough, cause it's spoken for....82 FV575 Red...but whatever...

So, even I can see the pattern here :-?
I'm addicted. If it doesn't sell, I hope to have another chance to talk to the seller.

5 Matty's jems in under about 6-9 months .
"Can you say hopelessly addicted?"

I hope my obsession continues and I can continue to find them at a really good price.
I can't give it up!!! lol Is there some rehab program I should be considering??? :hyper:

Just sayin.....
Cheers ,
Grams.

Ah, hell, mate - just enjoy the ride!! Once you've exhausted the Vantages, there's Aria Pro II, Electra and Westone.... and that's just the mainstream brands!

If you're keen on the pointies, then the Vantage Invader II and V, APII U, XX and ZZ series and the Westone Raider, Dynasty, Dimension 4 and Monark. And the Electra XV2 Lady... my particular favourite and according to the designer of said guitar, less than 200 built, so I count myself very lucky to have one, especially here in Australia as Electras were only made for the US market....

I know it's a bit quiet in here at the moment, but there are some really good people in here with some amazing guitars: ask Don about his Vantage collection (I lust after quite a few of his guitars)!

And then ask him how often he plays them!! He is our true lost cause; a hopeless case!!

Hey, that's the way it seems to go with these guitars for me. For ages, nothing available. Then they're everywhere it seems. Yes they're addictive...but it feels so-o-o good. And in the long run cheaper than booze, drugs and wimmin'.
