:jammin: I did it again

Ummm not much to say other than I've heard all the hype, and had to know it myself.
So when this VP750 GHOST appeared, I emailed the dude, and was able to get
him to sell it to me. Nice fellow from London On. I made the trip from the GTA.
Plays really nice. Playability no different than what you would expect from Matsumoku. "Very fast neck"...

Oh btw, the other DEMON I spoke last about arrived but im really saddened by the need for a complete fret job.
The body and the neck are in great shape. The electronics are in excellent working order. Sadly though, the frets I will put that on hold for a while. Going to field that one out there for the right person. If any of our
Ontarian's in here know of someone who is ABSURRDLY confidant please let me know as we all know it takes a
very special person to get that job done just right. One of my Spirit's could use a bit of help also.

I saw that one too, nice. Glad she went to a member here!

I always fancied one of these even though they are kinda plain looking. OK let's face it, it's a doodie brown finish. :evilrazz:
Wasn't there also a machine head or two replaced or sumthin'?

So, more pix and description please. What's in it? What's it sound like? Is it a shmo-o-o-o-oth comfy player? :hyper:

:snooze:

I know I know...pix pls
sorry guys little or no sleep these days
I will get some detailed pics of both of my latest acquisitions
Yes Barry there are 4 plastic grovers and two chromed tuning keys on it.
the chrome ones have "ping" stamped on the gear cover. Frets are UN-WORN !!!
I don't care what color it is. The Gibson that this one was molted after probly looks like the same poop color brown.
not sure about the output on the pups but the letter "T" can be seen on both pups bobbin tops
it plays for days, but I've only been able to noodle about 2hrs on it so far.
it needs cleaning and a new set of strings before I can get any cavity/hardware pics, so the description is what it is for now
I will keep you guys posted as it happens

Okey dokey. Sleep if you must.

I've heard reference made to the "T" pups before but I've never encountered them. Curious to find out more.
Clean her up and get her outside for some pix before this gorgeous weather goes bye bye.

Barry doesn't like doodie brown, eh; I quite like the understated look!

And yeah; if they were modelled after one of Gibsons "budget" LP models of the era, then that's not altogether a bad vibe to have going on!

You've shown us the Demon, eh???

If you were in UK I'd be more than happy to do a deal and re-fret it.

The Ghost cleaned up nicely. Gave it a once over with the sanding sponge. Fret board and frets are good now.
the "T-top" pup have the letters "F S" stamped on the backs. Definitely Mats ink there as I was hoping BUT NO "mmk" stamped into the metal case. Still Mats though. Anyone know what them letters stand for?

ahhhhh the Demon.... aka VP790 that came in stinking of needing a fret job.
Thanks to the encouraging words from down under member Corsair, I took my time and leveled the frets as best I could.
It looks and feels way better than before. MMK 45's in both pockets.
The fret board got a thorough cleaning and all the gunk was scraped away from the fret edges also.

I used a general purpose polish on the finish and now it looks better than the first one I picked up in KW!!

OK so there's them frets in horrible condition

I've got two now. It came about a month ago, and I've been lazy to get anything done.
And now its 4am here so I have to sleep now.
G'night/day
