All I did was hit Enter a couple times to make some space, then lower the font size. It's a Faux Foot Note, really. Just following Jorg's lead. :D

The fretless has arrived! I'm a bit disappointed though. The EMG's are clearly NOT stock. They've been put in pretty roughly, damaging the corners of the routing in the process. The original 3way PU-selector switch has been removed, leaving just a hole in the front, and the two-way mini-toggle has no appearent function.

The construction and the woods are magnificent though, the three-piece laminated neck is constructed with tiger striped maple, and the top is slightly carved ('arch-top light' :P ). After a good clean-up and rewiring job, she'll be near-perfect

Pics will follow soon.

Great catch! A real beauty.

Are those active pickups? how do they sound?

What is behind the headstock under the tuners?

Have you done the repairs on her?

:) Love your six string, too.

Yes they are. They sound okay, as far as I can tell with the current wiring.

Brass block, holder for two Allen keys.

Not yet, unfortunately. The previous owner put in the EMG's and in the process he reduced the switching posibilities to none :(
I want to restore the three way PU selector, and maybe use the mini-toggle for active on/off (any suggestions for a better use for it are welcome). But I ain't no real hero with the soldering-iron, and I have no previous experience with active electronics :(
Might take a while before I find the courage (or a good help) :D .

I have an Ibanez with on/off toggle that was added, comes in useful. I had a second post/thread with another VP825 in a different color but it is no longer there?!?! Deleted? : :dunno:
