Sifting through some stuff I gathered on my laptop, searching for the 5-string Vantage bass Skylark41 found in a store near him, I rediscovered these pages from another Vantage catalogue. I'm pretty sure all these pages came from the same brochure, but I don't know from what year ...
What do you guys think? Late Mat-era(84-87), or early Samick(90-93)?
(scans aren't any bigger then this ... sorry  )

I linked at least one known model (Eybulger's alledged Avenger AV-315, 1985, Japan) to the third guitar on page 2! (Sorry Don, can't make out the type in the page-scan; 395 maybe? It ain't 315 for sure!)
So I guess we can assume this is indeed a Matsumoku era Vantage catalogue! 1985/1986 probably ... :hyper:

The headless bass is here on the forum somewhere, too.

I'm with you on this one.
Sure looks Mat to me, (considering it has one of mine in it)

Good work
Cheers
Don

I'll say Uncle Mat for sure, as well.

I've got the right-most bass on the "Basically hot" page, and the serial tells me it's an '85.
I've also seen two Avenger guitar variations listed on these pages, for sale here in Sweden quite recently.

If I could, I would. Unfortunately, I don't have the actual pages. Just these (small) scans :( .

Is there anyway at all to enlarge them without degrading the quality, do you know?

Maybe, if you have any Secret Agency IT-specialists among your friends :D

All of this catalogue's instruments were introduced in 1984! (Source: "Fachblatt music magazine" '84 editions).
The catalogue is from 1984 !
Instruments were available 1984, 1985. (Serial numbers starting with 4 or 5)
Probably the last "new models" designed by Vantage Japan.
