I managed to shoot one. Here she is (AV-330, 1982):

She looks in terrific shape Kees! Great score!
Haven't met an Avenger or Spectrum yet that I didn't love
Enjoy her!

The snow pic does her right Barry, but at closer inspection she's clearly been played quite a lot. I don't mind that, It just says she's an instrument that has to be played. No harmful wear on her, so ... I'm very happy with this one. Very different sound compared to the HB/HB Vantages I have. Plays very easy, too. The former owner didn't like the 'tuxedo-look', and it took me a while to remove the black permanent marker ink from the nut and from the edges of the scratch plate. But she came out allright :) . Hope to be able to put up some more pics soon. After all, this model hasn't had much exposure on the forum yet. Compared to other Strats I have (had), I really like the edgy shape thisone has. Much more outspoken then most. Love her!

Nuthin' wrong with that. I have several which have been bruised and scratched up quite a bit, but for me, the most important thing is the neck. If it's OK I can deal with everything else; they still have their 'heart'.

Unbelievable! The previous owner of my Vantage VS600 did the same darn thing with the position markers, TRC and switches! Must be related.

I hope you discovered that isopropyl alcohol dissolves it instantly without damaging anything?

Merry Christmas! :santawink:
