I'm switching things around on my guitars and finishing off projects. This baby got a little neglected..

I switched the SD's she came with with original MMK53's that I got for her, gave her a nice clean, rubbed all the brass and gave her a set of original brass knobs. A new set of 12 strings...She is pure again....

Very nice Frenchy, gotta be happy with that.
Its a great feeling re-originalising a guitar :loon: .
You can almost hear the guitar give a sigh of relief when the foreign parts are extracted.

Where did you find the knobs, Pierre?

That was the plan when I got her. I had to take her SD pup's for another project and her 53's were here for the last year. She only had 9 strings on her also when I got her, only the highs had the octave. To finish a main project, have to do a few little ones to get the main done..lol :loon: I understand myself... :toopid:

Love doing the restore clean ups also...they look  after... Still have to figure out how to get that perfect shine you get.... 8-)

Thanks, the knobs come from a project 900 that is being completely redone from wood up. The knobs came with, so they go on the 912, the redone 900 will slap some repro on it.

Looking great! Just a note, these guitars are fun to experiment with different string combinations. I've had mine as a 6- or 9- or 10-string at different times, on purpose. Ever try Nashville tuning? Interesting on recordings, for sure.
