I didn't know where to post this, since it may or may not be Vantage-esque, but here it is anyway.

I'm excited to receive my guitar I'd recently bought, a pea green and yellow binding Quest Atak 2 with black neck! It's got looks you'll either love or hate, but I love it. Anyone know anything about these Atak 2's with black necks and binding? There's a picture of a blue one on here, but mine has the binding which I hadn't seen on an Atak 2 before. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Here's the pics from the auction, most of you probably already saw it.






I'll take detailed pics once she arrives, if nothing else for posterity's sake. The Quest catalog on here doesnt' show this model, looks to me like this one may have been a later offering from Quest? I'd like to know some info on this thing, from pickups to wood to what colors they came in to anything else you may know about them, especially if somebody has one!

I like it. Very Dean Bel Aire-ish.

Out of curiosity, what is the serial # on the neck plate?

Is'nt that a post Japan version?

Thanks everyone for the kind words, it's not a typical beauty queen, that's for sure. But I love her...

I should get it tomorrow in UPS, I'll get you all the serial number then.

Can't wait to get my hands on this thing. I'll be taking it to a friend of mine who does magical set ups. He set up my ultra-rare Samick SBA-460, and it's never sounded so amazing. He works on violins, cellos, guitars, etc., and makes them sing with resonance like I've never heard.

Let's hope it comes tomorrow. I'll take the pickups out and photograph it all in detail so we'll have a record for the future.
