I found, in the rewiew pages on Harmony Central, a dude that claims that Skylark is a Gibson trademark....

Gibson used the name on a '60s amp and a '50s-'60s lap steel. Both were gone by the '70s, and I doubt Norlin/Gibson ever heard of its use on the Matsumoku made guitars given their short lifespan and limited numbers.

Gibson seemingly have no interest in the name currently, as I easily found a couple of instruments using the Skylark name.
