Sorry guys, I'm still here...I'm just really lazy (and slow)  .
My scanner's not hooked up to my new computer, but I'll try to figure something out.
If anyone (in the U.S.A.) has a cell phone...I could always take some pics of what I have, and send them via multimedia/text message to you (Squidhead, or anyone else)...just PM me with your # (I won't stalk you...I promise   ). Then someone else could post them for me (I don't have the USB hook up for my phone & they stopped selling them, for the model that I have  ) :D

Translated from Aussie to US Eng: What Corsair means is;

1.Get a camera with that old fashioned stuff called film,
2.Shoot some pics,
3.Develop them at the local Piggly Wiggly,
4. Put the results in an envelope and send them off.

Not to worry skylark44

Some of us thought you were mia (missing in action).

We're glad you're still with us. :bawl:

Whenever you get the scanner set up on the new computer
dump some of the results in here.

That might be easier than the Piggly Wiggly and the snail mail idea :D

Thanks, jb

Umm for the NEW ZEALANDERS in here, what's a "Piggly wiggly"?! And oddly enough, I actually meant digitally photograph the pages with an oblique light source, and post the images as .jpgs!? Is that not a good idea...? :toopid: (genuine query; computer Luddite here!!)

Luddites don't know what a jpeg is. Piggly Wiggly is a chain of convianence stores found in the midwest and southern US. They don't have them by me but I have driven across the country twice (once with two dogs and a cat, don't let anyone ever talk you into that).

It was one of my dumb attempts at humor.

I haven't seen a real camera in so long that "photograph" sounded funny.

Piggly Wiggly can also be used to mean any store.

And since most stores have a photo dept.

And yes, your idea was also good Corsair

I'll help any way I can, including scanning them if you're willing to send them to me. Local Fed Ex/Kinko's/Staples type places can also scan for you, for a fee. I use a local print shop that's family-owned for tough projects (artwork, large-format blueprints, etc.), they take good care of me.
