That is most excellent 8-)

You just scored the top of the line Skylark model 2588.

Looks to be in very good condition from what can be seen in the pics.

You'll post better pics later of course

Ooohhh! very, very nice!

Was only watching that one on US Bay, as the shipping costs are prohibitive to Australia.

Was this the same blue one that didn't sell in a batch of two, the red model down and a top-of-line blue one from the same Seller about two or three weeks before? The red one did, but the blue one went untaken.

I have sat a picture of it in front of my new bottom-end model, and am trying, unsuccessfully, to teach it to say 'daddy'.

Congrats, and even thought I only have a VS-695 Vantage, no bullying here.

Thanks guys :) I just got word from USPS Track&Trace (one that actually works!) the package has arrived in my country. Now I'll be waiting for the paperwork to get customs to clear it, and me to pay the taxes

No, it is not. I know the one you mentioned, I even inquired about it with the seller, but he wouldn't ship overseas. Good for me, 'cause thisone seems to be in much better condition!

For those that don't know what a Skylark 2588 sounds like; this guy Alex made a nice little demo. Not bad at all, especially since he says he's actually a bass player :P

Thanx Kees...that's actually the first time I've seen one being played since I had mine (it was STOLEN in 1989 :x :( ). The guy pronounced Matsumoku wrong,.. but I forgive him. I had almost forgotten how versatile they were, and how incredible they sounded (I could've cried...I miss my 2588 :( ). :D

I thought that would pique your interest - to me it looks like a butchered VA900 but who knows...
