Is your Aquarius the strat-ish style, two humbucker guitar?

I used to go and see a blues guitarist in Southampton (Bob Pearce) who used one. He bought a Fender Jaguar for a more authentic look, but quickly went back to the Aquarius as he loved the tone, and the Fender couldn't match it.

Hi mate,

Yip, that's right, though the body shape is quite unique and wider than a strat. Lemme see if this pic link works...
The neck is curved and shiny (satin-coated?) just like Fenders were, according to a friend of mine. All i know is it is very enjoyable to play and sounds good. Sorry for the slight off-topic sidestep moderators...

So that is what the Kawai Aquarius looks like.
Very cool. The pick guard complements the overall look.
Plus I'm a sucker for maple necks too.

If you can find one, get it. They do not reach anywhere near prices that they should (bit like Westones in that respect i guess). I've sort of been looking to think my collection of guitars down, and a guy's guitar teacher told him it was only worth 80 euro. I told him the neck alone is worth 80 euro to me.

Came it many different colours too... Got a lovely skunk stripe down the back of the neck and a string thru. I too love the look of a maple neck, it looks a whole lot chicer and shinier than a rosewood, especially on fotos....

MAybe this is the dawning of the age at last... ;)
