Thank's for the pic Charlie!

Your script logo is the same as my amp script logo... The script logo on K9's seems to be the same as the one on Zontar's but not certain since the picture is unclear. Zontar has the same diamonds as yours....

Zontar, any chance of getting better pictures of both guitar and bass?

Here is a closer look at the headstock. I got this guitar in the fall of 1979 and it has a 1980 serial number. This was from an Ontario conservitory.

When I got the guitar a Granada amp came with it. The volume knobs where on the top of it facing up. Sorry I don't have any pics of it but within a year I traded it in for a Garnet head and cab.

The amp was also made in Canada

I'm suprise to see your logo with a small "g" and not a capital G. Granada's amps were made by 3 different Canadian Co based on the models contracted out. Garnet was one of them and the most looked out for. Maybe the guitar's came from different source's also..... :dunno:

I think it is a capital G as its larger than the other letters on the headstock.

You won't get a single word of speculation from me about your guitar's origin, based on the headstock profile, inlay design & truss cover style.

But you should have a look at this catalogue, anyway:

Hi Zontar!

Hi, this is what--three different boards now?

I'll try on the picture. The logo on my Granada bass is the same as the logo on Charlie's Les Paul copy, and yes the inlay on his Les Paul's headstock is the same as mine. The logo on my Les Paul copy was on a sticker which has since been lost.

My amps (both the one above & my bass amp) were both made by Garnet--they were part of the stencil series. See this link-
http://www.garnetamps.com/stencil.htm That page says-

If you find an amp bearing any one of the following names the odds are very good that you've found a Garnet! The best way to know for sure is to look for the CSA (Canadian Standards Association) label. If the code "LR24510" appears beneath it then it is indeed a Garnet.
And both my amps qualify on that basis. SO there's a good way to check the amps.

Here's a picture of my Les Paul copy headstock, taken as a joke. I cut out a paper Fender logo and taped it on for the picture. It is not an attempt to fool anybody as it is obviously a taped on piece of paper--but it's the best picture I can post right now of the headstock showing the inlay--In this picture I also added an inset of an actual Les Paul Custom headstock as on another board someone posted that the Granada Les Pauls did not have the open book/moustache headstocks, as you can see--mine does.

That's also the case below it. The machine heads are not the original ones--the original ones were plastic cased, and some of those broke--so the guitar wouldn't stay in tune. These are metal cased Gotohs.

Thats funny Zontar about the Fender logo on it. When I first got mine I bought a pack of Gibson strings for the logo on the pack and taped it to the headstock

Season's greetings
