bought this one sunday, it's a hondoII with mahogany body, set neck (one of the smoothest neckjoints i've ever seen) dimarzio pu's and the body is also chambered.
so it's loud unplugged.
the quality is way too good for an average hondo, i own another hondo II DC model and that one is matsumoku made (MMK pu's) and of the same great quality.
most hondo's are pieces of firewood with often good pickups, i owned several hondo's and only these two could stand my critical eye.
it also has a rollerbridge, maybe a later addon, not a thing you see often on a hardtail guitar.
