Hello,

I found this one yesterday. It was only 40 euro but the body is repainted and cracked. The original color seems to be gold.Maybe a restoration project. Has anyone ever seen this model?

Wow, now that is an oddball. Does it play? I would think it would be worth restoring just to bring it out and make other guitarists do a double take :D

the electronics seem to be good quality, also the pots and switches. The pickups are alnico. The arm feels really good. The nut has to be replaced and the first 3 frets have some wear, but plenty of life left. I'm will try to restore the old body, there seem to be some finer cracks too. If I do no get good results, I will buy a new unpainted hardtail strat body and make all the routings myself.

In the book "Japan Vintage Vol.5" is a picture of a guitar like this... besides that the logo reads "Fresher Straighter"... and the guitar has a tremolo bridge.

Seeing the routing on your guitar... I wonder how stable the guitar with the extra route for the tremolo will be. :-?

Hi Wutz,

thanks for the info. I'v found pics on the net of this Fresher Straighter that seem to be identical to mine (hardtail included), only the brand is different. I assume the the neck on mine is a replacement. Or maybe these brands were made in the same factory??
Anyhow, I will make this a winter project.

Boris
