I've just bought TAMAKI 335 copy in mint condition.

It probably is a MIJ late '70s/early 80s.

Mahogany back and neck, maple top and sides.

Does somebody know anything 'bout this brand, like where is this guitar probably made? Matsumoku? Terada? FujiGen Gakki?

Inquiring minds would like to know... :D

HI are you sure it's Tamaki and not Yamaki? If you could post pictures it would help :)

Yamaki are very high end Japanese copies made late 70's early 80's and much sought after

Hello Itkojak and welcome here.

Tamaki apparently is not Yamaki, and was a separate Japanese brand, according to this anecdotal reference which suggests that it was later bought by Takamine. (No substantiation though):

and here are two more references here which place it as Taiwanese:

We really need pictures, especially front and back of the headstock. And if this is a bolt on neck, any information on the neck plate is important.

Yep; New Zealand has a self proclaimed "saviour" in Bishop Brian Tamaki.... :)
