Here is one of my babies. Japan made and super player. I think is a 1971-72 model but am not 100% certain. Let me know what you think.

Thought I just saw you over at Ibanez Collectors World! :D

Anyway yes, this looks like an early one. No serial number makes it pre-1975 anyway, and judging by the catalogues Ibanez didn't carry this model for particularly long. The main detail that places it around '71/72 is the black button tuner set - these only seem to appear on very early 70s MIJ copies, and were rapidly replaced by the more common cast chrome type keys.

As I said, I don't think the 2350B model carried on much past 1973 anyway - the similar EB-0 & EB-3 models were upgraded like most Fujigen Gibson copies - early details like round-corner fingerboards & inlays and the very basic bar bridges were phased out, but you don't see "evolved" LP basses - they all have the same spec as yours, the tuners seem to be the only parts that got changed.

Jon.

Thanks for all the info Jon! I was not aware of all that info. Nice to confirm the 71-72 date on mine, makes lots of sense since most other instrument that have the same tuners are from 1968 to 72 from my research.... Mats had those same exact tuners on most basses during those years but the gold ones only seem to be from 71-72...

I posted this bass on Ibanez Collectors World and no response... might be beacause I'm new there... I only have a few Ibby's... so decided to post them here... They're Japan Made and these (LP Bass) are somewhat scarce from what I understand...

P.

Looks interesting Pierre!
That has to be the strangest bridge I've seen on an LP!
