The triple dot inlays seem to have been on later models only as per my research .... I have no 100% facts to back it up but all other brands made by Cort with the triple dots are from 86-88.... Cort`s earlier versions...82-3 actually had pearl inlays....

That brass nut placement is interesting to me. Does the fretboard wood tail away at an angle or a radius from there to the TRC?

Fender style nut and it does look like radius. My RS600 has a Gibson style nut at the end of the fretboard. One of few differences.

My theory (based on piecing together pieces of the puzzle, the largest sofar being the Cort-made Gumika VA800 Phantom I owned) is that when Matsumoku renewed his (her? its?) machine park back in 1981, Cort (or Cor-tec) purchased the old routers, including the programming, and continued production of some 'old' Vantage and Aria models, slightly different (hardware, wood quality, craftmanship), but basicaly identical to the Japanese made models. These were then marketed under a number of different brand names. Gumika, Mann, and later on Mann 80ies, Cort, and many others ...
