Here is something that I picked up, I started playing bass with a Japan tele bass younger. it was most likely an El Deggas but sold it off when I was 13 or 14.... so I am always interested in trying to find one again. This one is about 10 years older , dating in the late 60s. Not certain as to the brand or model no but was told it was a Sears Silverstone or something of the sort... Any one know more about this short scale beauty ???

I dig it!!
I saw a recent guitar with a bamboo neck. Almost looked like thin veneers sammiched together.
IIRC it was an Epiphone acoustic or semi hollow.

The neck laminates like this were used on some Tiesco and Kawi builds as were the six screw neck plates.

When I worked at the guitar shop we sold a few lower end (entry level) Martins, on occasion, which had something they called a Stratobond neck. It's a multi-ply/laminate construction which has the same sort of appearance. They look took awhile to get used to, especially on a Martin, to but it was very strong and stable.

IIRC they were attached to a body which was made of High Pressure Laminate, so quite a deviation from traditional materials. Sounded surprisingly good too.
