Hi

I'm a french guitarist and i saw a bass to sell
It looks like a Jass bass sunburst and the seller tells the bass was manufactured in Japan 40 years ago approx. The brand name written on the head is STAR
Any information about this brand ?

Star doesn't ring a bell but there again there were as many labels coming from Japan at that time as there are fleas on a camel. A good number were re-badges.

Most labels back then were more the distributor's doing than the manufacturer's. Conrad and Lyle are a good example. Identical models but different logos.
