When it comes to Canadian made guitar amps the best know line is probably Traynor, but another important maker during the '70s was Garnet, based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Probably the most well known example of Garnet Gilles' creations on record was Randy Bachmann's lead guitar on the Guess Who's "American Woman," which used the Garnet Herzog, a tube distortion device Bachmann used on other Guess Who and BTO tracks. But Garnet at some point also got into the guitar business, marketing Asian made copies.
http://www.garnetamps.com/guitar.htm Altho' no details are given from the looks of them I'd guess these were marketed in the early or mid 70s. The SG copy shown looks a lot like a couple of the Aria SG copies I've seen online.
