It's hard to say... I know it was made in Japan (the neck plate and a couple switches say so) so I figure it's Japanese. ;)

Anyhow, I've taken all the guts out of the guitar, and it's waiting for me to get a day off so I can either soldier it myself, or take it in and get it worked on. It's a hot mess.

Hey guys. I found one of these at a flea market last week. I had the same problem trying to identify it. According to a guy on offsetguitars.com its a Fandel "Jet" probably from '68-'69. Here's the pic he posted.

A strange one alright Jason.
For sure MIJ and made in 1960-something, but beyond that...Image Fandel eh?
Bet she'll sound interesting when you're done fixing her up though.

I saw a Aria in a 1965-66 catalogue just like these.....
